Dr. Peal brings nearly 20 years of experience in applying behavioral psychology to improve organizational performance and is an expert in behavior change in clinical settings. Dr. Peal brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our clients.
Founder & Executive Director

Adam Peal, Ph.D.
Adam is the Founder and Executive Director of The Walden Learning Collective, a company that specializes in applying behavioral psychology to improve organizational performance. With 19 years of experience in the field, Adam has a deep understanding of how to develop and implement clinical and system-wide technologies in a variety of settings. He is also a professor of psychology at Johnson & Wales University and the Co-founder of The Behavioral Education Research Initiative, where he conducts research and provides trainings on behavior change in a variety of clinical settings. Adam holds multiple degrees, including a Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University and his research and clinical experiences include the areas of applied and experimental behavior analysis, behavioral economics, critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, the development of interventions for severe problem behavior in clinics and schools, teacher decision making, behavioral pediatrics, autism spectrum disorder, and mindfulness-based interventions for students and teachers. We're excited to have him leading our team and look forward to the valuable insights and expertise he'll bring to our clients.

Adam Peal, PhD

Executive Director
Joshua Garner, PhD, BCBA-D
Joshua Garner, PhD, BCBA-D is a graduate of The Ohio State University where he received his undergraduate degree in psychology, and a master's of art and PhD in special education and applied behavior analysis. Dr. Garner specializes in various aspects of behavior analysis and education including translational research (e.g., resurgence and behavioral momentum theory) , skill acquisition, direct instruction, precision teaching and standard celeration charting, behavioral assessment, as well as differential reinforcement procedures. Additionally, Dr. Garner is experienced in developing and modifying clinical systems and processes that enhance staff performance and client outcomes. Dr. Garner especially loves teaching, training, and coaching staff. Currently, Dr. Garner is the executive director of The Walden Learning Collective and the co-founder and president of The Behavioral Education Research Initiative. We are proud to have Joshua as part of our leadership team!
